Interruptions

Interruptions

I made this quilt as a little joke about motherhood. The patchwork pattern is a design made by our wooden unit blocks in their cart. The circle represents myself on those days when every interruption gets interrupted by something else. I like to remember an article I read once, written by a mother who had found some peace by redefining the interruptions as being the time when parenting really happens.
