Summer evening breeze
Drifts past darkening blossoms -
The scent of fresh dew.
The inspiration for this piece was the silk fabric itself and my desire to find a suitably lovely way to use it. I chose to dedicate it to my favorite flower. Since silk and irises remind me of things Japanese, I adopted a sashiko design for the garden lattice and titled the piece with haiku.
